Telehealth is one of the fastest-growing industries in the medical world. Patients who have trouble getting out of their house have ways to receive treatment from their doctor without a visit, sleep studies can occur in the comfort of one's home, surgeons are able to perform procedures hundreds of miles away from the patient, and so many more opportunities have arisen thanks to the advancement of medical technology. One company has now made medical examinations something that can be done at home and has made it available to the general public.

TytoHome is a home medical examination kit used to examine one’s temperature, heart, lungs, skin, ears, throat, and abdomen and sends the data to the patient’s healthcare provider. It is the healthcare industry’s first all-in-one modular equipment and telehealth platform created for on-demand medical examinations. The kit was created by TytoCare, and Israeli company now headquartered in New York.

After a successful initial rollout in the Midwestern part of the United States, TytoHome is now available across the country at physical BestBuy locations as well as online at BestBuy.com.

The data transmitted via TytoHome can help TytoCare healthcare provider partners diagnose sore throats, fever, flu, colds, ear infections, allergies, upper respiratory infections, and more.

Current healthcare provider partners include American Well and LiveHealth Online, nationwide; Ochsner Health System in Louisiana and Mississippi; Sanford Health in North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota and Iowa; and Novant Health in North Carolina.

TytoHome costs $299.99 and each TytoHome visit costs $59.99 or less depending on the nature of the visit and the patient’s health insurance plan. Reimbursements are available from leading insurance plans including Anthem and United Health Care.
